S.J. prides himself on attention to detail and strategy execution in all phases of the litigation process. His practice focuses on litigation of commercial disputes, business torts, insurance coverage, product liability, employment matters, and class actions. S.J. has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in litigation, which provides a helpful perspective in representing clients no matter what the circumstances.
S.J. has tried more than a dozen cases in federal and state courts in both Kansas and Missouri. He also has successfully prevailed in dispositive motion practice for his clients in numerous other lawsuits. Before entering private practice, S.J. was a law clerk for the Honorable Kathryn H. Vratil of the United States District Court for the District of Kansas, which gives him unique and valuable insight as a litigator.
S.J. received his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2006, where he graduated Order of the Coif and served as Senior Articles Editor of the Kansas Journal of Law and Public Policy.
