Lara Krigel Pabst

Lara pursued the law as a career for the simple reason that she likes helping people. As an attorney, she sees herself as a problem solver.

Lara focuses her practice on all aspects of employment law, general litigation, and family law. She represents individuals and businesses in a wide variety of matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, and wrongful discharge claims. Her practice also includes contract and commercial disputes.

Lara counsels clients on a variety of human-resources issues to assist them in preventing employment claims from arising. She works with businesses and non-profit organizations to develop personnel policies and employee handbooks, drafts and negotiates employment contracts, and assists clients in complying with state and federal employment laws. Lara also has experience drafting, defending, and litigating non-compete agreements and restrictive covenants.

Lara also helps clients with a wide variety of family law issues including divorce, custody, and child support. As with all other areas of her practice, Lara takes a practical approach when dealing with these issues and always keeps the best interests of her clients the focus of her practice. Lara always keeps the big picture in mind when advocating for her clients.

Lara was born and raised in Kansas City. She earned a B.A. in History from Northwestern University and graduated cum laude from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. She loves spending time with her family and she is active in the Kansas City community, serving on the boards for Jewish Family Services, the Jewish Community Foundation, and the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy.
