Krigel & Krigel recently sent a 10-person team to run in the CCVI Trolley Run and is gathering another team for the upcoming Father’s Day Run. Lara Krigel Pabst, an attorney at the firm, explained that the staff and attorneys love supporting and running in local races such as these because they “promote good works and good health, both things that Krigel & Krigel believe in.”
Lara also said that running as a group is good for firm culture. “It is nice to see co-workers outside of the office, and most importantly, doing something that benefits a charitable cause.”
In support of these races and the good causes that they support, we provide more information below on the races, the causes they support, and how you can get involved!
CCVI Trolley Run
The CCVI Trolley Run is held each April in the Waldo, Brookside, and Plaza areas of Kansas City. It is a four-mile course and one of the largest timed four-mile road races in the country. In fact, it routinely draws close to 10,000 runners.
More importantly, the race supports a charitable cause. CCVI stands for Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired, a non-profit organization that helps children with visual impairments (among other disabilities) achieve their highest potential. The organization assists children from birth to school age with highly specialized instruction, therapies, and family education.
Although the 2015 race is over, you can get involved and support this wonderful organization here.

Father’s Day Run
The Village Shalom’s Father’s Day Run 2015 is scheduled for June 21, 2015.
The race is a 5k/10k located in Overland Park at 119th and Nall, with a start and finish close to Village Shalom’s campus. The run is organized by the Village Shalom’s Associate Board, which is comprised of young community leaders.
Like the Trolley Run, the Father’s Day Run also supports a good cause. All funds raised from the run benefit programs and services for Village Shalom residents confronting Alzheimer’s disease.
