Super Lawyers Selection Process
The Super Lawyers patented selection process includes three steps:
1. Creation of the candidate pool
2. Evaluation of candidates by third party research
3. Peer evaluation by practice area
Candidates are chosen from 70+ practice areas and evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Rising Stars Eligibility
The Rising Stars list is created with the same multiphase selection process as the Super Lawyers list except:
a) Candidate must be either 40 years old (or younger) or in practice for 10 years (or less), and
b) Up to 5% of lawyers in each state are Super Lawyers, but no more than 2.5% are Rising Stars
All attorneys go through the Super Lawyers selection process. Those who aren’t selected, but meet a Rising Stars eligibility requirement, go through the Rising Stars selection process.

Erlene W. Krigel, one of the managing partners of Krigel & Krigel, heads the bankruptcy department, overseeing attorneys who handle Chapter 7, 11, and 13 matters for both debtors and creditors. Lara joined Krigel & Krigel in 2012 and focuses on employment litigation and family law. She represents individuals and businesses in a wide variety of matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, wrongful discharge claims, and contract and commercial disputes.
