Lisa E. Key has a legal practice devoted exclusively to the area of family law. She represents clients in matters of adoption, divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, spousal maintenance, paternity, premarital agreements, and other domestic relations issues.

Ms. Key earned a law degree from Northwestern University School of Law in 1987, where she graduated cum laude and was made a member of the Order of the Coif. She received her undergraduate degree in social work, with an emphasis on families, from the University of Illinois, where she graduated with honors.

Following law school, Ms. Key practiced in Atlanta, Georgia in the areas of tax and business planning. In 1993, she accepted a position as an associate professor of law at the University of Missouri School of Law - Columbia, where she taught courses in family law, disability law, tax, and business planning.

Ms. Key moved to Kansas City and opened her own law firm in 2003. In 2005, she joined the firm of Krigel & Krigel, P.C. She has received training as a domestic mediator and as a collaborative law attorney.

She is active in many organizations, including the American Bar Association Family Law Section, the Missouri Bar Association Family Law Section, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association Family Law Committee, the Association of Women Lawyers, the Association for Conflict Resolution, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the Association of Missouri Mediators, the Collaborative Law Institute of Missouri, the International Relations Council and The Central Exchange. She is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Georgia.
